Dr. Muhammad Asim is Consultant Pulmonolgist at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre, and looks after Critical Care as well. He is one of the main Consultant Pulmonologists involved in care of COVID patients at NWGH. Dr. Asim performs all interventional procedures in Pulmonology and has a particular interest in Sleep Medicine/Non-Invasive ventilation.

Dr. Asim has previously worked as Consultant Pulmonologist at Rehman Medical Institute. Prior to this Dr. Asim had been practicing as a substantive Consultant Pulmonologist in Warrington & Halton Hospital U.K. During this time, Dr. Asim gained extensive experience and training in all aspects of Pulmonology.

Dr. Asim completed his MBBS from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar in 1996. He then went on to the UK for further training. Dr. Mohammad Asim completed his medical training from Heartlands & Solihull Hospital, Birmingham UK, and obtained his MRCP in 2003. He went on for higher specialized training in Pulmonology/Internal Medicine/Sleep Medicine in Merseyside, Liverpool UK, which he completed in the year 2009. Dr. Asim carried out his critical care training in John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford and University Hospital Liverpool. Dr. Asim also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate course in Medical Education from University of Chester, UK 2009.

Dr. Muhammad Asim is an examiner of MRCP Paces Exam, for Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, UK. Additionally, he is also a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (U.K) and a member of European Respiratory Society and British Thoracic Society. Currently Dr. Asim is a part of the Faculty of Northwest School of Medicine, as Professor.
