Dr. Syed Iftikhar Ali Shah is working as Consultant Physician, and Professor and Head of Department of Medicine, in Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre, Peshawar and Northwest School of Medicine. He has a special interest in Herpetology, Diabetes, Hypertension, and Respiratory disease.

He is a member of the Pakistan Society of Physicians (PSP) as well as the Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology & G.I Endoscopy (PSG & GI).

Dr. Iftikhar Ali Shah completed his MBBS from KMC in 1978. He then completed his Post Graduate training and attained his Membership of the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Medicine. He also travelled abroad for medical training and education, and succeeded in attaining both the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) as well as Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).
