Northwest General Hospital and Research Center, in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Care Commission, hosted a pivotal seminar on “Quality Improvement with Minimum Service Delivery Standard in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.” The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of quality and standards in the healthcare system.
Mr. Malik Abdul Latif Awan, CEO of Northwest General Hospital, warmly welcomed the audience and expressed gratitude to the KPHCC officials for organizing the seminar. He emphasized the hospital’s commitment to maintaining high standards and quality in its healthcare services. Northwest General Hospital has implemented quality-based service delivery procedures and has achieved numerous certifications, including ISO. The hospital is also striving to obtain JCIA accreditation.
Doctors, Nurses, paramedics, medical students and administration staff attended the seminar. Dr. Uzma Syed, In charge Directorate of Quality at KPHCC moderated a detailed presentation on the KPHCC’s role and functions in healthcare facilities across the province. The commission’s primary role is to issue licenses to healthcare providers and regularly monitor the quality and standards in these facilities.
KPHCC directors Mr. Javed Afridi (Director Operations/Chief Financial Officer), Mr. Mohsin Ali Turk (Director Legal Affairs) and Dr. Shefa Haider Sawal (Director Registration) also attended the seminar.
An interactive question-and-answer session was also held, where all directors of KPHCC responded effectively to the participants’ queries. The seminar was a significant step towards promoting quality improvement and minimum service delivery standards in the healthcare sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
