A team of doctors from Northwest General Hospital & Research Center visited the University of Peshawar to conduct an awareness session on the symptoms, detection and diagnosis of Breast Cancer. Moreover, the session gave insight to females on benefits of early detection of, and how to regularly self-examine for, breast cancer. The team also explained and clarified some myths and fears associated with breast cancer.
NWGH’s team comprised of Dr. Shandana, Dr. Wajeeha, Dr. Sidra, Dr. Farah, Dr. Ayesha, Dr. Muneeba, Dr. Sumbal, Dr. Yabqa, Dr. Rida and Dr. Arooba.
Dr. Zia ur Rehman (CEO, NWGH), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Idrees (Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar) and other dignitaries also participated in the event. Towards the end of the session, Dr. Zia ur Rehman presented a shield to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Idrees as a token of gratitude.
