We are thrilled to announce that a special Scholarship Award, the Professor Abdul Hashim Khan Scholarship, has been introduced at the Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM) for Exchange Program at the Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Surabaya Indonesia. Three outstanding students—Mazhar Ali, Faysal Ahmad, and Laiba Khan from Final Year MBBS have been awarded the Professor Abdul Hashim Khan Scholarship for the prestigious Exchange Program.

These scholarships, personally sponsored by Prof. Tariq Khan, Consultant Neurosurgeon and Head of the Neurosurgery Department at NWSM, recognize academic excellence and commitment to professional development. The scholarship recipients will spend one month at UNAIR, engaging in clinical rotations that will broaden their medical knowledge and expose them to diverse healthcare practices.

This exchange program represents another step forward in NWSM’s commitment to providing global learning experiences for our students.

The students began their journey on October 7, 2024, and will return on November 8, 2024. We wish them great success and look forward to seeing them make the institution proud.
