The medical oncology department at northwest general hospital and research center provides out-patient services as well as day case treatments and in-patient management of solid tumors and some hematological, malignancies according to internationally accepted guidelines.
Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy drugs are formulated in a purpose-built pharmacy with a dedicated oncology pharmacist. Nursing staff are given periodic training for safe handling and administration of chemotherapy to minimize administration related side-effects.
