Dr. Abdul Rahim Khan Consultant Interventional Cardiologist as well as head of the Department of Cardiology at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre, Peshawar. He manages Cardiac patients, and provides cardiovascular care. His areas of particular interest are Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Nuclear Cardiology and General Cardiology.
Dr. Abdul Rahim Khan has been heading the Cardiology Department at NWGH for the last decade. Prior to this, he was settled in Florida where he had established a private practice performing all kinds of cardiac procedures in Bayonet Point Hospital. He continues to visit the USA for 3-4 months a year in order to refresh and upgrade his medical knowledge.
He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) as well as the Pakistan Cardiac Society.
Dr. Abdul Rahim completed his medical schooling from KMC in 1984. He then went to the USA for training where he specialized first in General Medicine in Chicago USA, then in General Cardiology from Michigan USA. He also then specialized in Interventional Cardiology in Michigan USA, as well as Cardiac Electrophysiology from Long Island, New York.
