Dr. Kamran is working as Consultant Anaesthesia and Associate Professor at the Northwest Teaching Hospital and Northwest School of Medicine. Dr. Kamran looks after total perioperative care of patients before, during and after surgery, including Anesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine, Critical Emergency Medicine, and Pain Medicine. In his role as Professor, Dr. Kamran is responsible for training the coming generation of medical professionals in the field of anesthesiology.
Prior to joining his post at NWSM, Dr. Kamran worked at Lady Reading Hospital and Hayatabad Medical Complex, which are Public Sector Hospitals. Dr. Kamran opted for early retirement from Government service in 2018 and joined Northwest Teaching Hospital as a Consultant. Dr. Kamran has also worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist at King Faisal Hospital in Makkah, Saudi Arabia during Hajj Season in 2006.
After completing his MBBS from KMC in1998, Dr. Kamran completed his Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) in Anaesthesia in 2003, undergoing Post Graduate Training at LRH IN 1997-1999. Dr. Kamran also holds a Diploma in Anaesthesiology.
