Dr. Wali Ullah Jan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-Retina Surgeon working at Northwest Teaching hospital. He specializes in the treatment of anterior and posterior segment related diseases of the eye. His areas of expertise include phacoemulsification cataract surgery, manual small incision cataract surgery, refractive procedures, strabismus, dacryocystorhinostomy, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachment.
Dr. Wali Ullah graduated from Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad. He received his general ophthalmology training at Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar. He did his second fellowship in the sub-speciality of vitreo-retina surgery. He is currently, working as Assistant Professor at Northwest Teaching Hospital.
Dr. Wali Ullah Jan is a lifetime member of the Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan and the Pakistan Vitreo-retina Society. He is a fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology as well as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (UK). He has published five research papers in internationally recognized journals and regularly participates in local and international conferences.
