KMU & SAME RPS UK Delegation Visit NWGH

Khyber Medical University Vice Chancellor Dr. Zia ul Haq, accompanied by a delegation from SAME RPS UK, visited the Northwest General Hospital and Research Centre (NWGH&RC), where they were warmly received by Managing Director Malik Abdul Latif.

The primary aim of the visit was to enhance the training of nurses at NWGH&RC, leveraging the expertise of esteemed nursing schools associated with SAME RPS UK. The delegation engaged in discussions about the critical role of nurses in oncology and provided valuable insights into a training program established under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and SAME RPS UK.

Director of Nursing Dr. Barkat Ullah presented a comprehensive overview of the nursing department, highlighting its operations and the significant role of Northwest College of Nursing in educating student nurses. He emphasized that NWGH nurses are highly qualified and dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

The delegation, led by Dr. Ijaz Hussain and including Dr. Nailah Hussain, Henry Brindle, Deborah Butler, and Beatrice Fox, engaged in constructive dialogue with NWGH management. Managing Director Malik Abdul Latif expressed gratitude to Dr. Zia ul Haq for the fruitful visit, recognizing the collaborative efforts between the institutions.

The Managing Director presented shields to the visiting delegation. Additionally, the group visited the Emergency Department of NWGH, further solidifying their commitment to advancing nursing education and improving patient care in the region.
