On January 15, 2025, Northwest General Hospital and Research Center (NWGH) took a significant step toward enhancing its employees’ capacity in emergency response and environmental safety by organizing an interactive session on “Major Disaster Drill.” This event was conducted in collaboration with Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The session began with a warm welcome by Mr. Asad Ali Yousafzai, Manager of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment at NWGH. He stressed the critical importance of emergency preparedness and encouraged active engagement from all participants.
The day-long workshop was led by Mr. Zuhaib Gulzar, Senior Instructor at Rescue 1122, who provided practical demonstrations and insightful training on key areas such as Trauma Control, Fracture Management, and First Aid. The session included scenarios of fire, flood, and road accident emergencies, equipping participants with essential lifesaving skills.
Attendees learned the importance of being prepared to respond effectively during crises, ensuring that they can play a vital role in saving lives when it matters most.
This initiative reflects NWGH’s commitment to fostering a culture of safety and preparedness among its employees and the wider community.
