Northwest College of Nursing launched the “Nursing Assistant Training Program” with an inauguration ceremony held at the college. Mr. Malik Abdul Latif Awan, Chief Executive Officer Alliance Healthcare, officially inaugurated the program.
Designed for porters and housekeeping staff of Northwest General Hospital and Research Center, the program aims to enhance their knowledge and improve patient care standards, enabling them to take on more specialized roles. It is open to staff who have completed Matriculation with Science, providing them with structured healthcare training for professional growth.
The comprehensive curriculum covers Fundamental Nursing, Anatomy & Physiology, Nursing Ethics, and Infection Control, along with hands-on clinical skills like monitoring vital signs, patient care, mobility assistance, and medical procedure support. Aligned with national and international healthcare standards, the program ensures excellence in patient care.
The ceremony featured speeches from Prof. Syed Yousaf Shah, Director of Nursing, and Mr. Malik Abdul Latif Awan, CEO, who highlighted the program’s importance in addressing healthcare needs.
