An MoU signing ceremony between NWGH and CECOS University took place on May 8th, 2024. The ceremony was chaired by Dr. Tariq Khan, Chairman AHL, Dr. Zia Ur Rehman, CEO, and Dr. Roheena Zafar, Director Pharmacy, NWGH. Representing CECOS University were Dr. Fazal Subhan, Dean, Life Sciences, Dr. Shela, Associate Professor, Dr. Faiz Ullah Khan, Assistant Professor, and Mr. Abdul Hasan, Director ORIC.

The collaboration aims to foster academic and educational cooperation and enhance mutual understanding between the two institutions, specifically providing Clinical Pharmacy Clerkship, as designated by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, to Pharmacy students of CECOS University.

The faculty of CECOS University visited various satellite pharmacies, including the main pharmacy, drug information centre, quality control laboratory, and total parenteral nutrition and aseptic area for chemo and IV admixtures.

The Dean of Life Sciences at CECOS University expressed appreciation for the competent and skilled pharmacists delivering exceptional services throughout the region.

Moreover, the MoU entails organising joint workshops, seminars, and training sessions on research methodology, data analysis, publications, and exploring opportunities for collaborative research projects.

This is an important milestone for NWGH and CECOS University towards strengthening the hospital-university linkage through this collaboration accomplishment.
