Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) arranged an awareness a series of session at the Northwest School of Medicine, Northwest General Hospital and Northwest Institute of Health Sciences to highlight the availability of a Forum for working women, should they face any kind of harassment at work. The sessions were arranged for the students and employees of Northwest, and were conducted by the Regional Commissioner KP Ms.Rubab Mehdi with the aim to increase awareness amongst the females of a redressal forum for harassment at their workplace, thus encouraging them to pursue their dream careers without fear of reprisal. The interactive session covered the problems faced by the working women, the appropriate legislative steps to guard their interests and lastly, the importance of further spreading this awareness amongst their peers and families. Regional Commissioner Ms. Rubab Mehdi invited the audience to participate in the activities of FOSPAH through their internship program, which helps in spreading the message thus addressing harassment issues even more.
