On September 10, 2024, the Medical Professional Education Department (MPED) at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre (NWGH & RC) Peshawar hosted a hands-on workshop titled “Unlock the Power of Artificial Intelligence (AI): Exploring Opportunities and Innovation.” This workshop was tailored for Senior Residents (SRs), postgraduate trainees, and house officers.
Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Naseer, a renowned expert in artificial intelligence, delivered the keynote address. He provided an in-depth overview of how AI is transforming academic and research landscapes in the medical field. Dr. Naseer demonstrated how AI tools can enhance the literature review process by efficiently scanning and analyzing extensive amounts of academic content. He showcased AI’s capabilities in identifying relevant studies, synthesizing findings, and generating comprehensive reviews, ultimately saving time and improving research accuracy. Additionally, he discussed how AI can aid in writing and structuring manuscripts, emphasizing its role in drafting, editing, and ensuring the consistency of academic writing, which can significantly elevate the quality and coherence of research outputs.
Participant feedback indicated a high level of engagement and interest, underscoring the growing importance of AI in advancing medical science and education.
